Relay’s mission is to give you total clarity and control over all your money moves—including how you (and your team) use debit cards to run your business. 💳 Which is why we’re so excited to share that we’ve made debit card management in Relay faster and more intuitive for your day-to-day needs.
Debit cards are a great way to enable and organize day-to-day business spending for you and your team. To be truly in control, you need instant clarity into spending limits and an easy way to keep tabs on how your team uses cards. To enable this, we’ve made key improvements in Relay:
You can now see all your cards—and their spending limits—in one place 🧑💻
Switching between cards and grabbing important card information got much faster ⏩
Issuing new Shared and Individual cards is a lot more intuitive 😊
You get a lot more control over the names printed on physical cards ⌨️
Let’s dive into each feature update in more detail.
Instantly see all cards and spending limits
You should always feel confident when making a purchase, so we’ve given you more visibility into each card’s spending limits. 🔍 On the updated cards page, you can:
Keep tabs on your daily and monthly spending limits
Check how much you’ve spent this day or month with one click
See all the cards tied to your business at a glance
Easily distinguish between virtual and physical cards
Know the cardholder of each card
Access debit card details quickly
We reorganized how information appears when you need additional details about each card, making it easier than ever to find what you need. 🙌 Here’s what’s new:
All card details live on the same page, and you can quickly switch between different cards
Accessing and copying your card details and billing address is now much faster (no more hunting things down when making an online purchase!)
The checking account tied to your card is now shown at the top, so you always know which account is funding the card
Easily create Shared or Individual cards
We updated the workflow for creating new cards and made it easy to understand who owns each card. You can now issue either Shared or Individual cards for your business. 🤗 Shared cards belong to the business as a whole, and can be accessed by multiple team members (a primary cardholder is still required). Whereas Individual cards are only assigned to one person on your team. Issuing and assigning new cards is now much easier.
Control the names printed on physical cards
Staying organized with physical cards is just as important as with virtual ones. To ensure each Relay physical debit card is labeled clearly and serves its purpose, we now give you more control over the text that gets printed on each card. ✍️
Up to two lines of text can now be printed on each physical card.
The first line of text is required and can either contain the business name or the cardholder’s name.
The second line of text is optional and can contain either the business name or custom text that reflects the card’s ownership or purpose, for example “Marketing Spend,” or “Travel Expenses.”
Use new cards in Relay
Card improvements are now live in Relay—log into your account and explore them yourself! Issue new cards, update your spending limits, and get organized.
