Relay Call Check confirms a support call is really from Relay through a push notification and a verified banner inside the app showing the agent's details.
Who this is for
Relay Call Check is on by default for every Relay customer with the mobile app installed. You do not need to turn it on.
Business owners and account admins who take support calls
Team members with the Relay mobile app installed and notifications on
Anyone worried about scam or impersonation calls that pretend to be Relay
How Relay Call Check works
When a Relay agent calls you, three signals appear so you can verify the call in real time:
A push notification from the Relay app tells you the incoming call is from Relay.
A verified banner appears inside the Relay app showing the agent's details.
The call is logged in your Security Center so you can review it later.
If any of these three signals is missing, the call is not from Relay.
What's included and what's not
What Relay Call Check covers:
Inbound calls from a real Relay agent
Verification inside the Relay mobile app
A saved record of every verified call in your Security Center
What it does not cover:
Email, SMS, or chat messages (verify these by contacting Relay directly from inside the app)
Calls answered on a device that does not have the Relay mobile app installed
Calls from third parties (for example, payment processors or credit bureaus) who reach out on their own
What should I do if I cannot verify a call?
Hang up. If the caller claims to be from Relay but you do not see a push notification or a verified banner in the app, end the call and contact Relay directly from inside the app.
Do not:
Share your password, one-time codes, or debit card PIN
Approve any transaction the caller asks about
Move money to an account the caller suggests
Where can I see past verified calls?
Every verified call is logged in the Security Center inside the Relay mobile app. Check the Security Center to review the history of legitimate Relay calls to your account.
Why does Relay Call Check exist?
Scam and impersonation calls that pretend to be from a bank or fintech are one of the most common ways small business owners lose money. Relay Call Check lets you tell a real support call from a scam without having to test the caller yourself, which matters most during sensitive moments like account reviews and security checks.
