Signing up for a Relay account takes a few minutes if your business is registered in the United States, operates in a supported industry, and has its documents ready.
What you need before you start
A business registered and operating in the United States
A business operating in a supported industry
Owners residing outside the restricted countries list
A valid email address from a supported provider (Gmail, Outlook, or a business-domain email address)
Business documents and organization details matching your entity type
Who can sign up for a Relay account?
Relay accounts are for businesses registered and operating in the United States. Your business also needs to operate in a supported industry, and the owners need to reside in a supported country.
Relay does not currently support:
Personal banking accounts
Escrow accounts
Trusts
401(k)s
How do I sign up for a Relay account?
Applying takes a few minutes on desktop or mobile:
Go to the Relay signup page from a browser or open the Relay mobile app.
Enter your business email and create a password.
Complete the application with your business details, including legal name, entity type, EIN, industry, business address, and beneficial owner information.
Submit your application for review.
After you submit, Relay reviews your application. For what to expect after submission, see What Happens After You Submit Your Application.
Which email providers does Relay support at signup?
Relay currently supports Gmail, Outlook, and business-domain email addresses. Proton Mail is not supported. If your only email address is a Proton Mail address, create your Relay account with a different provider.
What if my business type is not supported?
Relay cannot open an account for personal banking, escrow accounts, trusts, or 401(k)s. Relay also cannot open an account for businesses in restricted industries or for owners in restricted countries. Review the prohibited industries list and the prohibited countries list before you apply. If you are unsure whether your business qualifies, submit an application and Relay's team will confirm eligibility during review.
