UpdatedAugust 11, 2026

Relay savings accounts earn 1.11% to 3.00% Annual Percentage Yield (APY) dependent on plan, accrue daily on your end-of-day balance, and pay out within the first three days of the following month.

How much interest do you earn on Relay savings accounts?

Relay customers earn interest on savings account balances, with the rate set by their subscription plan.

  • Scale Plan customers earn up to 3.00% APY

Interest applies to funds held in savings accounts only. Checking account balances do not earn interest.

How is daily interest calculated?

Interest accrues daily on your end-of-day savings balance and compounds monthly.

  • Relay takes a balance snapshot of your savings account at the end of each day

  • Daily interest is applied to that balance at your plan's APY

Interest earned during the month compounds

  • Accrued interest is credited to your savings account monthly

When does interest get paid out?

Interest is credited to your savings account within the first three days of the month for the previous month's accrual.

What happens if you change your plan?

  • Plan upgrades: the new APY takes effect immediately at upgrade

  • Plan downgrades or cancellations: the change takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle

How many savings accounts can you have?

You can maintain up to two savings accounts per business on Relay.
