Relay Capital loan repayments run on automatic weekly ACH debits from your Relay Account, and you can pay the balance off early at any time without penalty.
Who this article is for
Small business owners with an active Relay Capital loan
Owners applying for Relay Capital who want to understand repayment before drawing funds
Bookkeepers or accountants managing repayment cash flow for a client
How does Relay Capital loan repayment work?
Repayments are automatic. Once you accept a loan draw, weekly ACH debits pull from the Relay Account tied to your loan, on the same weekday every week until the loan is paid off.
Each payment is a fixed amount for the full term
Fees are front-loaded, with more of the fee paid in early weeks and more principal paid in later weeks
Your Lending dashboard shows the next scheduled payment and the remaining balance in real time
Where do I see my payment schedule and remaining balance?
Open the Lending tab in your Relay Account. The dashboard shows:
Your next scheduled ACH debit date and amount
Your remaining principal balance
Your total remaining fee
Your estimated payoff date at the current pace
How do I pay off my Relay Capital loan early?
Go to the Lending tab, select your active loan, and choose Make a payment. You can prepay any amount, including the full remaining balance. There is no prepayment penalty for paying off your loan early.
Your exact payoff amount is shown in the quote before you confirm the payment.
What happens if I miss a repayment?
If a scheduled ACH debit fails, usually because the linked Relay Account did not have enough available balance, the payment shows as missed or returned. Add money to the repayment account as soon as possible.
Returned or missed payments typically take 1 to 2 business days to reflect in the dashboard
Once the missed payment is recorded, a make-up payment option becomes available in the Lending tab
Repeated missed payments can affect your eligibility for future draws or renewals
Can I change the account my loan payments come from?
Not yet. Relay Capital repayments must debit from the Relay Account that was on file when the loan was accepted. This is a Relay Capital limitation today; the Lending tab will show updated options if that changes.
If you need to move money into the repayment account before the next debit, use an internal transfer in Relay.
What does a Relay Capital loan cost?
Relay Capital charges a single fixed fee per draw. That fee is the total cost of the loan and is shown before you accept the draw.
The fixed fee, weekly payment amount, total cost, and payoff date are all shown before acceptance
Final loan terms include the annualized cost and any required state disclosures
The fee does not change once you accept. You only pay more if you draw again on a new loan.
