How to Refill or Reapply for a Relay Capital Loan

UpdatedAugust 11, 2026

Relay Capital automatically reviews your account for renewal offers as you repay, so you rarely need to submit a new application to keep accessing capital.

Who this is for

Existing Relay Capital borrowers who want to:

  • Draw additional capital after an initial loan

  • Understand how new offers appear without reapplying

  • Know what happens after an early payoff or an expired offer

How does a Relay Capital refill work?

A refill is a new loan offer surfaced automatically in the Capital tab after your account is reviewed by Relay Capital's underwriting partner. You do not submit a new application. If a new offer becomes available, you review the final terms in-app and opt in to move forward.

Key mechanics:

  • Account reviews happen periodically without a new application

  • A soft credit check runs when you review the final terms on a new offer

  • A hard credit inquiry occurs only on your first-ever draw from Relay Capital

  • Each offer allows a single one-time draw up to the approved maximum

When will I see a new refill offer?

New offers appear in the Capital tab of your Relay Account when your business meets the current underwriting criteria at the time of review. There is no fixed schedule, and eligible customers may receive an offer even while an existing loan is still outstanding.

What happens if my previous offer expired?

An expired offer does not disqualify you from future eligibility. Keep your Relay Account active and monitor the Capital tab and your Relay email notifications for updates. Underwriting reassesses on its own timeline, and a fresh offer can appear later.

Does paying off my loan early guarantee a new offer?

No. Early payoff is a positive repayment signal, but it does not automatically trigger a new offer. Relay Capital continues to reassess your account periodically, and any new offer depends on your business's overall standing at the time of that review.

How do I improve my chances of qualifying for a refill?

Consistent activity in your Relay Account and clean repayment behaviour give underwriting more to work with. Practical steps:

  • Keep your Relay Account connected and actively used for day-to-day banking

  • Maintain healthy cash flow patterns

  • Repay your existing Relay Capital loan on schedule

  • Watch for in-app and email updates from Relay

Will my refill terms match my previous loan?

Not necessarily. Refill terms reflect underwriting at the moment the new offer is generated. Amount, rate, fees, and repayment length may all differ from your previous loan. You can review the exact terms before opting in.

Does opting in to review a refill affect my credit score?

Opting in to review terms triggers a soft credit inquiry, which does not affect your credit score. A hard credit inquiry is only conducted on your first-ever draw from Relay Capital. Subsequent refills do not trigger another hard inquiry unless specifically disclosed at that time.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to submit a new application for a refill? No. Refill offers are surfaced automatically. You do not fill out a new application to access additional capital.

Can I take multiple draws at once from the same offer? No. Each offer allows a single one-time draw up to the approved maximum. A future draw requires a new offer.

Where do I see my refill offer? Offers appear in the Capital tab of your Relay Account. Relay also sends email and in-app notifications when a new offer is available.

Can I get a refill while my current loan is still outstanding? Sometimes. Eligibility is based on underwriting at review time, and some customers qualify for additional offers while an existing loan is still being repaid.
