What limits does my Relay Account have?
Your Relay Account has separate daily and monthly limits for each transaction type, including ACH, domestic wires, international wires, check deposits, and card spending. The exact numbers are set individually per account and displayed alongside your current usage in the transaction limits view.
How do card-specific limits work?
Individual Relay Visa® Debit Cards can carry their own spending limits that sit at or below your account-level limits. Contactless card payments typically max at $100 per transaction depending on merchant settings, and card-specific limits cannot exceed the account-level limit. You can tighten per-cardholder limits in the Cards section of your Relay Account.
Can I request a higher transaction limit?
Yes. Submit a limit increase request from inside your Relay Account if your business needs to send or receive above your current daily or monthly amount. Approvals are handled case by case for compliance reasons, so timing and outcome depend on the individual request.
Common issues
I don't see a Transaction Limits option: confirm you're signed in as an owner or as a team member with the right permission level. Team members without a payments permission may not see this view.
My card limit looks lower than my account limit: individual card limits can be set below the account limit but never above it. Check the card settings under the Cards tab.
Contactless payments keep failing above a small amount: many merchants cap contactless at $100 per transaction. Insert or swipe the card, or add it to a digital wallet, to run a higher-value transaction.
My usage counter didn't reset overnight: daily limits reset at the start of the next business day in your account's time zone, not on the calendar day.
