Receiving an ACH in Relay takes about two minutes: share your account and routing numbers with the sender, using a name Relay has on file. There is no per-transaction fee and no receiving limit on incoming ACH.
What you need before you start
An active Relay account
The exact legal business name, beneficial owner name, or Doing Business As (DBA) name on file with Relay to give the sender
Access to your Relay account via web at app.relayfi.com or the Relay mobile app
Which name should the ACH payment be sent under?
For an incoming ACH to process, the sender must address the payment to a name that is already on file with your Relay account.
Business name. The legal entity name registered on your Relay account.
Beneficial owner name. The name of any individual listed as a beneficial owner on your Relay account.
DBA name. Any Doing Business As name you have added, provided you have submitted supporting documentation for it.
Payments addressed to a name that is not on file may be returned by the receiving side. If a customer or vendor needs to pay you under a different business name, add that DBA to your Relay account first.
How do I find my account and routing numbers on the Relay web app?
Your account and routing numbers live inside each account's Details view on web.
Sign in to your Relay account at app.relayfi.com.
Click the Accounts tab.
Select the account you want the ACH deposited into.
Click Details.
Under About, find the account and routing numbers. Click the eye icon to reveal the full account number.
Click the double-square icon to copy each number.
Share the account number, routing number, and the name Relay has on file with the sender.
If the sender also needs your bank name and address for their payroll or vendor system, click Domestic Wires under Receive Money to view those details.
How do I find my account and routing numbers on the Relay mobile app?
The mobile flow takes five steps and produces the same account and routing numbers as the web app.
Open the Relay mobile app.
Tap the Accounts tab.
Select the account you want the ACH deposited into.
Tap Share account info.
Send the details to the sender using your preferred sharing method.
How long does an incoming ACH take to arrive?
Standard ACH deposits typically post to your Relay account within 1 to 3 business days of the sender submitting the transfer.
Same-day ACH is available on the sending side of the network, but arrival timing depends on when the sender initiates and their originating bank's cut-off. For a full breakdown of processing windows, see the transaction settlement and processing timelines article.
Are there fees or limits on incoming ACH payments?
There is no per-transaction fee to receive an ACH in your Relay account, and no cap on how much you can receive by ACH.
Outbound ACH transactions do have daily and monthly send limits, which vary by Relay subscription plan. To review the current send limits on your account, see viewing your account limits.
Common issues
Payment returned because of a name mismatch. The name on the ACH must match the business name, a beneficial owner name, or a DBA name on file with Relay. Confirm the exact name with the sender before they retry.
Account number entered incorrectly by the sender. The account number is longer than the routing number, and both must be shared exactly as displayed in Relay. Click the eye icon on web to reveal the full account number before copying.
Deposit has not arrived yet. Standard ACH takes 1 to 3 business days. Confirm the sender's initiation date, then allow the full window before contacting support.
DBA name is not accepted. DBA names only work once the supporting documentation is on file with Relay. If you are expecting payments under a DBA, add it to your account first (see how to add a DBA name to your Relay account).
