You can change the display order of your Relay checking and savings accounts from the desktop dashboard in about 30 seconds by dragging them into the sequence you want.
What you need before you start
Desktop access to Relay (the reorder feature is not available in the Relay mobile app)
Your Relay login credentials
At least two checking or savings accounts to reorder
How do I reorder my Relay accounts?
You reorder accounts from the Accounts tab in the Relay desktop dashboard using the Reorder button. The full flow is five steps:
Sign in to your Relay account on desktop at app.relayfi.com.
Open the Accounts tab from the left-hand navigation.
Click Reorder on the right-hand side of the screen.
In the Reorder accounts window, drag and drop each account into the position you want, or use the arrows next to each account to move it up or down.
Click Save to lock in the new order.
The new sequence takes effect immediately across your desktop dashboard and the Relay mobile app.
Can I reorder accounts from the Relay mobile app?
Reordering is available only on the Relay desktop dashboard. Once you save the new order on desktop, it shows up in your mobile app automatically the next time you open it.
Does reordering change anything besides the display order?
Reordering only changes how your accounts are displayed in the dashboard and mobile app. Account numbers, routing numbers, balances, auto-transfer rules, scheduled payments, payees, and card assignments all stay exactly as they were.
How do I group related accounts together?
Drag related accounts into adjacent positions so they show as a visual group in your dashboard. Common groupings owners use:
Operating account at the top, followed by tax and profit reserves
Profit First allocation accounts in the order the method assigns them (Income, Profit, Owner's Pay, Tax, Operating Expenses)
Client trust or project accounts grouped by client
Payroll and vendor payment accounts grouped by outflow type
Common issues
The Reorder button is not visible. You are likely signed in on a mobile browser or the Relay mobile app. Sign in from a desktop browser at app.relayfi.com to see the option.
Only one account appears in the Reorder window. You need at least two checking or savings accounts before there is anything to reorder. Add a new account from the Accounts tab first, then reorder.
The new order did not save. Make sure you clicked Save inside the Reorder accounts window. If the window closes before you click Save, the previous order stays in place.
A closed account is missing from the list. Only active accounts appear in the reorder view. Closed or archived accounts are hidden from the display list by design.
