The Relay Visa® Credit Card is a charge card built for U.S. small businesses that pays up to 1.5% cash back and reports payment activity to major commercial credit bureaus.
Who is the Relay Visa® Credit Card for?
Small business owners who want a monthly charge card, team spending controls, and business credit reporting on eligible purchases. The card is currently invitation-only for U.S.-incorporated businesses.
Eligibility requires:
A U.S.-incorporated and operated business
LLC, General Partnership, or Corporation structure (Sole Proprietorships are not eligible)
U.S.-based beneficial owners
One of these revenue and history combinations:
$50,000+ average monthly revenue over the last three months and 12+ months in business
$20,000+ average monthly revenue over the last three months, 6+ months in business, and a $25,000 minimum Relay balance
How does the Relay Visa® Credit Card work?
The card runs on a 30-day billing cycle. The full balance is due at the end of each cycle and is paid automatically from a primary Relay account you select at application.
Core mechanics:
30-day billing cycle with the full balance due at cycle end (no revolving balance)
Automatic payment from a primary Relay account, with an optional backup account if the primary has insufficient funds
Up to 1.5% cash back on eligible purchases, with the exact rate tied to your Relay subscription plan
Payment activity reported to major commercial credit bureaus
Up to five cards per cardholder per credit account, with individual or shared cards, custom spending limits, and vendor and category controls
5-day grace period if the full balance is unpaid at cycle end; after that, the account locks and a 3% late fee applies to the unpaid amount
What's included with the Relay Visa® Credit Card?
Charge card with a 30-day cycle and full-balance auto-payment from your Relay checking account
Physical and virtual cards; virtual cards are available inside your credit account as soon as they are created for online purchases, and physical cards ship to the address you confirm during application for in-person use
Team member cards with custom spending limits, vendor controls, and category controls
Cash back tracked in the credit account and deposited to your Relay checking account within 30 days of the end of each billing cycle
Statement downloads in PDF, CSV, or OFX
Business credit report access via Hansa (available to beneficial owners)
What's not included?
Revolving credit or the ability to carry a balance month to month
Cash advances or ATM withdrawals
Cash back on ATM transactions or cash-equivalent purchases
Availability outside the U.S. (currently invitation-only for U.S.-incorporated businesses)
How is my credit limit set?
Credit limits are based on either cash held in Relay accounts or standard underwriting criteria. Cash-based limits require maintaining a $25,000 minimum balance across your Relay accounts.
If your Relay balance falls below $25,000 on a cash-based limit:
With no active card balance, the credit limit is set to $0 until you replenish
With an active card balance, the limit may be reduced to $0 or the account may be frozen; contact the Customer Experience team for options
How do I manage my credit account?
Your credit account is the hub for balance, transactions, cash back, statements, team access, and payment settings. From it you can:
View balance, pending transactions, and settled transactions
Track cash back earnings for the current billing cycle
Monitor linked cards
Download statements in PDF, CSV, or OFX
Manage auto-payment and update primary or backup accounts anytime
Add or remove team members
To view your business credit report:
Sign in to your Relay account
Open the Accounts tab
Select your credit account from the active accounts list
Click "View Your Credit Score" at the top of the page
This opens the Business Credit Report Dashboard hosted by Hansa. Access is limited to beneficial owners.
Does applying for the Relay Visa® Credit Card affect my credit score?
Applying does not trigger a credit pull and does not affect your personal or business credit score. Once you are approved and using the card, Relay reports payment activity to major commercial credit bureaus, which can affect your business credit profile over time.
Can I carry a balance on the Relay Visa® Credit Card?
No. The full balance is due at the end of each 30-day billing cycle, and Relay does not offer revolving credit on the card.
What happens if I don't pay the balance in full?
A 5-day grace period applies after the cycle-end due date. If the balance is still unpaid after the grace period, the account locks and a 3% late fee is charged on the unpaid amount.
What's the difference between virtual and physical Relay Visa® Credit Cards?
Virtual cards are available inside the credit account as soon as they are created and are intended for online purchases. Physical cards ship to the address you confirm during application and are intended for in-person purchases. Both types are managed from the same credit account.
